Thanks for the party Hef

Had to add a small blog about the fun Halloween party Dan and Country threw over the weekend. They had "casino night" and it was a blast. You start out with $1,000 dollars (play money of course) and if you lose it all your out of luck. I ended up winning about $15,000 (not bad considering there we're table limits) and I wasn't even the big winner. At the end of night they had a raffle for some awesome prizes. I'm posting just a few pics as i'm sure Country will probably post quite a few. Thanks again, your great friends and great neighbors.

Random pic's and happenings

Shiner #3! Yes, our son has already had 3 black eyes. Maybe the division of family services is going to come knocken on my door. Poor kid. His 1st shiner was when he was just an infant, he scratched his eye and it looked like it was black and blue. Shiner number 2 came when he dropped a toy on his head at 9 months old (about a day before his Dr. appointment). And now #3, caused by running with a box and falling on said box. Grandma gave him the box, so I'm blaming her (just kidding mom). Any how, this is by far the shiniest of the shiners so far..... Connor's had a growth spurt and a lot of clothes are too small. I wanted to get a pic with him in his "dad rocks" onesie before I couldn't button it anymore. Of course, he wouldn't look at me for the pic.
Is it bad to dress your son in a Rogue Brewery hat? It was a gift from the Bateman's, so it's ok right? Here he is sporting the Rogue hat and doing one of his favorite activities, playing in the jeep. Maybe that's why we're keeping the jeep? This is his new trick. Lord knows I don't even remember the day that I could do that.
And this one is just because he looked so damn cute! Dad's not half bad either... check out the new Mikey no goatee! Yeah for me! Bless that safety mask he has to wear at work occasionally. Be it not for the mask, I'd be married to father time (you know with the beard).

Real Salt Lake (real cold!)

Mikey just finished the Real Salt Lake project. He took these pic's a few days before the first game. I'll let him post the comments on each pic, but I have to say that the stadium is very cool. It's huge! I think it seats 20,000 people and has parking for 700. Can you believe that? If you go to a game, ride trax! Mikey got some tickets comped for the first game, so we went a few weeks ago. It was actually pretty fun, especially given the fact that neither one of us know a thing about soccer. We were in a section with crazy beer drinking fans, so we felt right at home. It was so cold that night that we left just after half time. I'd like to go to another game but it's going to have to be on a warm Sunday afternoon!.

October Fest

Each year we love to head up to Snowbird for Octoberfest. It's so pretty with the fall colors. This year was one of the best years for the fall colors, unbelievably beautiful! But it was so crowded at Snowbird we didn't stay long. I bet the line for food was at least 45 minutes long, not a good mix with a 15 month old. We took off and went to Hoppers.

World Record Zucchini?

Ok... for those of you who didn't believe me when I said I could win first prize at the fair for my zucchini's, here's the proof. This is my biggest so far. I made Mikey measure it as it was growing.Connor's not too happy about being sized up against the zucchiniAnd a few weeks later.... here's the final result. I swear that thing weighs 30lbs.Connor, Me and Mojo

World Record Hops?

I don't really know how big hops are suppose to be but check out Mikey's hops. We planted this last year and thought we killed it, but it really went crazy this year. If we were ambitious we'd make beer with it, but we can't even seem to get around to making beer from our beer kit. And this is Connor. He loves to put rocks and bark and whatever in this hole in the cement. It holds an umbrella, or my clothes line but I don't think we'll be able to get either one in there next year with all of the rocks.

State Fair

I'm a little late with this post, but I wanted to share the pic's. This is Brenna and Connor at the Fair. Brenna is our great niece (yes, I said great). She's about 4 months older than Connor. Grandma and Connor

Picking apples We had a pretty good time until late afternoon when Connor had a "I need a nap" breakdown that's when Mike and I made our exit. :) It's always nice to spend time with Mike's family. We don't see them nearly enough.
